Spiders

Who doesn’t like the story of Charlotte’s Web?  Charlotte, the main character was a barn spider that captured the friendship and attention of a pig named Wilbur.  Great reading and good for kids of all ages, however, I am not sure I would want to live with Charlotte in my house.  Spiders are beneficial as they are nature’s pest control operators, they eat other insects.  Most spiders are not dangerous, however, the truth is they give a lot of people the creeps and there are some nasty ones out there that can create a nasty wound if you or one of your family are bitten.  They can also get out of control with their population if the insect population is out of control.  It is a food chain thing, more insects…more spiders.  To control or eliminate indoor spider problems, eliminate the insect food chain.  I can read Charlotte’s web to my grandchildren all night and day and feel comfortable but I am not comfortable with my kids sleeping with real spiders…. make sense?  Call our on duty inspector today for more answers.
